"Paula has an excellent way of teaching tango as an passionate expression of your body and soul. After 7 years of Tango experience I went to Buenos Aires and I was a little afraid to take classes, because Tango for me is not a question of steps and knowing how to...it is primerly a way of feeling and merging with a partner. But with Paula I discoverd how useful and also how beautiful it is, to get more consciousness in your body. She has such a precise perception of what is going on and she can lead you with humor, accuracy and affection to your own way of dancing on a high level." Besos. Fabienne- Zurich- Dic 2011

Paula is an awesome teacher. After trying a few teachers both for privates and group classes, I realized that what Paula was giving me was invaluable. She started from the point I was in my tango evolution, and built up from there. Paula is able to read your ‘tango body’ and offer the right amount of technique to unleash your sensitivity and creativity. She challenges you with new material, but in a way that will make you feel more relaxed and connected to your body, to your partner, and to the music. I have been taking classes with her every time I go to Buenos Aires, and every time I make a lot of progress not just by adding steps (although she gives you steps too!) but understanding and creating the dance. I always walk out of Paula’s class feeling inspired and ‘tango happy.’Fernando Rosemberg, Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA)
Carlo Knechtle
Paula, Thanks so much for the great lesson. I appreciate your understanding of the art form and ability to transmit that to one like me. I hope this finds you doing very well and best of luck !Tom Kamrath, Austin
"During our stay in Buenos Aires, we had the chance to follow tango lessons. We only planned on staying a week, but we ended up staying over a month to learn some more tango. We tried different teachers and with Paula we had the best feeling. In this month we took 3 private lessons per week and it was the highlight of our trip. We really felt comfortable with Paula and she took her time to teach us a lot of beautiful things. We followed classes with several other teachers, but they often concentrated on the steps. Paula concentrates a lot more on the posture, the connection between the partners and the feelings surrounding the dance. With Paula dancing becomes the art it is supposed to be, and that`s why we would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn this beautifull dance!"Koen & Evy Salembier-Decat- Belgium"Paula quickly sized up the big picture of my dance and prioritized what I should focus on. Too often teachers correct details that need work, but aren't a priority. The student can get overwhelmed by the long list of corrections. And she manages to do this with kindness, tact, and reinforcement of the parts that are going well. Plus, when I asked her for an inspiring mental image, she completely surprised me by responding with the painter Modigliani! For me, it was perfect!"Sara Moore - Texas"I have found on three separate trips to Buenos Aires spread out over two and a half years that my tango dancing has improved by taking lessons with Sra. Ferrio. When I was a struggling beginner she was patient, and able to identify and correct my problems of posture and walking, as I needed. When I have returned to Buenos Aires for more adventures in tango, she was able to increase my confidence both in the range and combinations of figures I knew, as well as help me develop my artistic sense in the dance. I recommend her for beginner and intermediate level dancers"Charles Loukus - Washington DCMy first classes were not really successful. After some months I gave up dancing. Two years later, in Buenos Aires with Paula Ferrio, did it again my first careful steps in Tango. After a few private classes in the regular classroom at Porteño y Bailarín, Paula gave me back the joy of dancing Tango. His classes are characterized by their joy to teach and his empathy for students.Paula has a didactic concept, starting with small easy elements, which later can be danced in innumerable combinations and improvisations. After some frustration, Paula opened new doors of Tango Argentino. Infinitely thank you very much!"Karl-Heinz Kratz Lucas, Librarian-Darmstadt."I was visiting Buenos Aires following a medical conference in nearby Uruguay. I stayed in a hotel that offered free group tango lessons. Being in the low season, I was fortunate that most of my "group" lessons became private and more fortunate still that Paula was my teacher for one of them. I decided to take a series of private lessons from her at that point. She teaches alone (without partner) but I did not find this detrimental in any respect. She leads and follows equally well and can communicate clearly what she wants you to do. Though I am an experienced ballroom dancer, I did not know argentine tango. She capitalized on what I did know and we progressed quickly. She uses the time efficiently and will not waste your time on having you incessantly repeat unnecessary drills. She will teach you at a top level as quickly as you can absorb it but not quicker than you need. I recommend her highly and without reservation. Her husband does interesting art work if you would like to experience that diversion as well"
